1. What is the Haitian Professionals of Philadelphia (HPP)?

The Haitian Professionals of Philadelphia (HPP) is a non-profit organization formed in November 2008 to help elevate Philadelphia’s Haitian community through education, professional development, and mentorship. Read More: http://hpphilly.org/about-us/

2. When are your meetings?

Currently, HPP is not holding any meetings. Please stay tuned for update schedule in Spring of 2013

3. Are you active year round?

HPP is currently preparing for Spring 2012 calendar

5. Partnerships/Sponsorship

Organizations or individuals, who have aligned with HPP to fulfill the organization’s mission and who are not members of HPP. Allies will be selected at the discretion of the Membership Committee with approval by the board of directors. Sponsors are those who have donated to the organization.

6. How can I join HPP? Can I join if I am not Haitian?

No, you do not have to be of Haitian ancestry as long as you have an affinity for the Haitian people and culture. For more information, contact florcy@hpphilly.org

7. What are the eligibility requirements?

To become a member you must be an entrepreneur, professional or a graduate student for example: hold either a vocational, technical, college degree or certificate received after the completion of high school. In addition, all members must support the Mission Statement and comply with membership policies and procedures

8. What are your types of membership?

We have three types of members: general, student, business/entrepreneur and corporate sponsors.

9. How can I help HPP?

All are welcome to help the Haitian Professionals of Philadelphia. You can help by providing your talents, services, contacts or resources. You do NOT have to be a member of the organization to help the organization. View our Committees and Calendar pages to find how you can best contribute.

10. What is the process for chartering a chapter in my local city?
